I love how that A&E special on Booker T actually covered that incident when he f'd up bad on camera by calling Hulk Hogan the N-word by accident in that promo. I just love how it's always going to be permanent like a tattoo for the rest of Booker T's life. 😆

I'm really looking forward to seeing that A&E special on that nutjob Ultimate Warrior later today. It's still hard to fathom how damn near all kids loved him during that era when he had severe mental problems based on his jumbled interviews.

I wonder if the special will discuss his steroid abuse which precipitated his death in 2014 and his mental issues.

He was strong.
He was colorful.
He had face paint.
He had cool moves.

Kids don't care about promo ability and mental stability.

It is EASY to see why he was so popular.

True indeed about all that. But most fans who grew up ended up viewing him being terrible with interviews and being mentally unstable along with poor ring work in retrospect despite being enamored with him when they were kids.

I actually liked him a lot myself until I realized how unreliable he was after being fired from the WWF for the third and final time in 1996.

Yea, people turned on him after his rants about each and every minority group.

People also tried to retroactively dismiss what he did at his peak.

Not many were on his level during his peak. FUn to watch.

People already turned on him after his third and final stint with WWF in 1996 realistically when they learned how unreliable he was, especially with his asinine and delusional exorbitant demands. The ascent of the internet in the late '90s exposed a boatload of his f ups, so he f'd up way before he made asinine and delusional comments about society and ethnic groups.

He did his thing as a pushed star at the apex of his career, so that's why it was fun to watch, but it was only for a brief period due to his limitations. He was a star on a temporary basis, but he didn't have longevity like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, The Rock, and a lot of others I left out.

I reiterate I admitted having an affinity for him albeit on a temporary basis, but it was easy to see why it didn't last long for him in hindsight after maturing and seeing things differently, especially since he hindered himself by being difficult to work with. Threatening to no show at SummerSlam 1991 and also actually no showing to events in 1996 because he didn't get his way didn't help his cause.
