Material differences-suede,nubuck,and durabuck

I don't get how people can't comprehend this. It's too simple not to get. It's like they've never had nice things

Some other recent releases that are Nubuck:
Stealth 10s
Graphite 14s
Citrus 7s
BHM 3s
Kilroy 9s
GMP 7s
Recent releases that are Durabuck:
Cool Grey 12s
Bordueax 7s
Charcoal 7s
OGs, am I right/wrong?

I thought the GMP 7s were suede? They definitely don't have the same feel when I compare them to the recently released bred 4s....

Cool post of shoes with the different materials.  If you were educating us on the different materiels, I think you should post the actual difference in the materiels.  Here you go though.... wikiapedia is amazing....

Durabuck- is leather that has been blended with polyurethane material. The blending makes it ideal for use in the manufacture of such products as amphibious footwear.

Suede- leather is made from the underside of the skin, primarily lamb , although goat, calf and deer are commonly used. Splits from thick hides of cow and deer are also sueded, but, due to the fibre content, have a shaggy nap. Because suede does not include the tough exterior skin layer, suede is less durable but softer than standard "full-grain" leather. Due to its textured nature and open pores, suede may become dirty and quickly absorb liquids

Nubuck is similar to suede . It differs in that suede is created from the inner side of a hide, whereas nubuck is created from the outer side of a hide, giving it more strength and thickness along with a fine grain. It is generally more expensive than suede, and must be coloured or dyed heavily to cover up the sanding and stamping process.

im pretty sure durabuck holds up better, but let someone else confirm
Durabuck is mixed with other materials to be more water resistant.  Probably the durabale but out of the 3, but is the less comfortable.

Bordueax 7's... not durabuck.. Charcoal7's higher grade of Nubuck, or
Lower grade of Durabuck.

i think all of yall are wrong...there's nubuck, cheap nubuck & durabuck...if you look at the og 6 you can see nubuck vs durabuck on the same shoe...the old 4s & 7s all had nubuck it was just a much better quality than the new nubuck

Look at the upper on this shoe which is nubuck and the heel part is durabuck...nubuck is brushed shorter than suede & is one of the most expensive leathers you can buy...durabuck is synthetic blend mixed with nubuck, its even shorter than suede and looks as smooth as leather...the new releases still have nubuck, its not suede, though its cheaper and a longer grain than high quality nubuck, which makes more people call it suede since suede is a longer grain than nubuck...end of thread

Just pulled out my DMP VI.. durabuck is amazing.

The best nubuck I have is on my Thunder IVs. They are closest to durabuck I think I have. 8o

100% correct. If you google "durabuck" you get what it is and how is made. Pretty much coated nubuck suede.

Yeah, and the Charcoal 7s too.

What material are these shoes:

Graphite 14s
Military Blue 4s (the neutral grey hits, not the obvious leather)
Chambray 7s
DTRT 3s

Thanks in advance.

DTRT 3 are durabuck.
I think the Chambray 7 are durabuck but I haven't seen a pair in years though.

raptors and grey XII's were durabuck

i was in my charcoals yesterday when i made that post. no, they aren't durabuck. the black nubuck and the grey nubuck are slightly different to one another, but they are both nubuck. neither have the firmness of dura, and both have the slight fuzz on the surface of nubuck.

this guy agrees

i don't have either , but i would be VERY surprised if the raptors or xii's had dura.
