on the otherhand, it's not about the schools being the issue here nor doors nor buildings. it's what and how the politicians should do on preventing these things from happening again rather than do the blame game. if the general population are left to fend for themselves, might as well remove those useless politicians in office.

This is/was my HS in SoCal. It’s fully fenced all around by a tall fence and has one main entrance with two other car entrances into parking lots. Fire drills had us evacuate to the open spaces. Back in 2003 thankfully we didn’t have active shooter drills, now I wonder what their plan for that is nowadays.

Edit: that high school from the tweet yesterday blew my mind, like they have 4 baseball fields and so much space it’s nuts lol

All this lock the doors bull****. Do people realize that not all schools are indoors? I am from LA and never attended an indoors school. Only thing protecting those kids is a gate surrounding the school that can also be easily climbed(hopped).

this is how most schools are in Hawaii other than high schools or private schools.

but all this door and entrance talk, do other countries have special doors that prevent this from happening to them? worth looking into maybe.

That’s wild y’all have outdoor classes like that. My school was all indoors but we did have off campus lunch. Granted I live in Illinois so with our weather being outside all school year wasn’t an option
