Tonight’s show finds us in back in NXT’s home base of Full Sail Live for the second episode from the taping (spoilers from which are here) which will take us all the way to TakeOver: New Orleans.

Here's what to expect.

The Headliner(s)
We’re getting at least one, possibly two, major announcements about the black-and-yellow brand’s WrestleMania weekend special on this episode. Which makes sense since we’re only a week and a half away from the show.

The one we’re definitely getting was so big, WWE spoiled it themselves. Well, not the details, but if you’ve been on the wrestling web, you know that what General Manager William Regal said will change the future of NXT is a new belt. What will it be called? How will the first person to wear it earn the right? Those details will presumably be revealed as part of the announcement - or they’re here in a more in-depth spoiler report on the news.

You probably don’t need any advance scoops to figure out the motivation, though. Even before WWE signed guys like Ricochet and EC3, both of whom have been teased on television and already working house shows, there were more guys needing something to fight for than the main event had room. A new title will give wrestlers just entering the brand, and those coming up at the Performance Center who are ready to be on our screens more often like Lars Sullivan and Velveteen Dream, something to do.

Then there’s the matter of The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, which will have both its semi-final matches on this episode. The winner of the tourney is still officially in line for a shot at Undisputed ERA’s tag team titles, but Bobby Fish’s knee injury isn’t exactly a secret - even if it hasn’t been mentioned on TV.

Will the continue to play it as if whoever emerges victorious from next week’s bout between the winners of tonight Authors of Pain vs. Street Profits and SAnity vs. Roderick Strong and United Kingdom champion Pete Dunne matches will face Fish and Kyle O’Reilly in New Orleans? Or will we start to see Triple H’s latest “Plan B” emerge?

The Title Scene
A week after #1 contender Aleister Black beat Zelina Vega at her own game during the TakeOver contract signing, rattling NXT champ Andrade “Cien” Almas’ business associate with jokes and then springing Candice LeRae on her, a decidely not tranquilo El Ídolo called Black out on the last episode. The Stoic Satanist has been much more talkative in this feud than any of this previous ones, so it’s hard to predict his next move. He’ll be on our screens tonight, though, so we’ll find out.

After picking up a win over Aliyah, Women’s champion Ember Moon made sure Shayna Baszler got the message since The Queen of Spades was talking trash at the announce desk during the Shenom*’s match. We’ve seen these two duke it out on several occassions in the past, so it’ll be interesting to see if they continue to keep them apart before their next title fight on April 7.

*Not sure how I feel about this nickname, but Mauro Ranallo keeps using it, so we’ll try it out.

Other stuff to keep an eye on:
- While Mr. Regal is unveiling NXT’s newest prize, maybe he can address the former employee who bought a ticket to jump a current one, then spent all week trying to get into the P.C.? Johnny Gargano’s wife does work there... but I think he’ll probably try to kill Tommaso Ciampa while he’s picking Candice up for lunch, so... the GM is probably gonna have to do something. Maybe give Johnny and his grandma-fighting former tag partner a way to settle their issues in a ring where we can all watch?

- After picking up a big win over Kassius Ohno on the last episode, what’s next for Adam Cole? Hard to imagine a guy who’s been featured in major gimmick matches - and got into the Royal Rumble - will be missing the show in New Orleans.

- Same question about Ohno, except it seems doubtful he makes the TakeOver card. After another tease that a high-profile loss has pushed the veteran to a breaking point, what’s next for KO?

Kayfabe speaking Dolph Ziggler is the biggest loser in the wwe. You gave up your title leave for months. Get number 30 in the RR get tossed out like a jobber. Lose in the fast lane main event now your in the Jobber battle royal. Big Sev gets in the is title match because he got himself over. And you can’t get over with any gimmick.

Yet he recently got a nice new 2yr deal. When was the last time he was more than a jobber to the stars? When he saved his job by beating Miz for the IC title?

Getting ready for work. Off tomorrow though so I don’t really care what happens today. How have you been homie? Also I had another quote tower prepped off the strength of DFly’s alter ego causing such a ruckus and of course New NT failed me and dropped all the quotes I had selected. **** is so damn frustrating b. :{

Miz carried that program also he won that match but lost the title right back to the Miz.

Although Dolph is beyond stale at this point, I kinda don't blame him for not caring now. Cashed in the MITB briefcase and became WHC to one of the biggest pops ever but Vince saying he's not going to push him (Bruce Prichard said this), Survivor Series 2014 in a star making performance then "fired" the next night killing all his momentum (Survivor Series spot was probably meant for Roman), then the performance of his career against Miz and loses the IC title back to him the next defense
