I do think some are overreaching, but I think this is based on the fact that San Francisco has been a wasteland for the past two years when you factor in peoples distain for the Patriots I understand the hoopla. The Pats have run a damn near flawless organization for a decade and a half. People want them to **** up so bad so propping Jimmy up as the messiah advertanly makes the Pats look like they had a misstep. Which they didn’t.

Plus if you watch the games Jimmy has played in it’s hard not to be exicited when you look at his footwork and that release coupled with the fact of what he has to work with.

Tools are kinda important though..

I said numerous times during wentz's rookie year 'I just want to see traits/elements of the qb he could be in year 3'.. this year I just wanted to see growth and improvement from the team and figured we need another offseason before we should have legit expectations

My beef with cian fahey, is dude said there was absolutely nothing wentz did during his rookie year that would show signs of him being a franchise guy.. which is absurd if you actually watched our games, as dude claims to do

Wentz showed the tools, but he still needed work and was thrust into a bad situation (all of our WRs were replaceable, pretty much all of our RBs too outside of sproles.. it was a wrap when our solid Oline went through a crap ton of injuries).. but you saw him make plays where you saw the QB he could be as he started to develop, adjust and refine and the team's roster improved

Kirk cousins isn't that huge of a knock cause dude makes plays and is a lot better than most give him credit for.. but he doesn't have a cannon for an arm isn't the most athletic dude out there.. you can win with those guys, shhh you can use that same description for joe Montana, who should be a lock for everyone's top 5 worst case top 8

But Montana wasn't working with the same tools as say young or elway.. but tools aren't a guarantee of success.. look at Vick vs Brees

Majority of players when they scored a TD this did something with their teammates .. Beckham, alone, got on all 4s and performed like a little puppy

It is what it is, Riddick will put up with it just like he said because it comes with the territory. Eventually if it gets too much he'll move him.

I’d be pretty happy if Jimmy G turned out to be Cousins with a really good supporting cast around him if I was a Niners fan
