Some of you are the sports equivalent to "Do you fools listen to music or do you just skim through it?"
Russell should've challenged the shot better, but the initial wide open shot was because Clarkson decided to cheat after Russell got screened. He was in the whole time until about 1:30 left after he left Langston wide open to hit the 3How is he ever going to be ready if he keeps getting subbed out? Dude needs to conquer his "fears". At that, Lou Williams is playing like trash in this game as well. At least sub in someone who is playing well
Dude they've had the easiest schedule six games in.Realistically this stretch is the worst we'll be all season in my opinion, if we don't get better moving forward that is when you really start questioning coaching, not just based on the X's and O's, but more are these players really buying into Byron Scott.
Right now, rotations still haven't been nailed in, Russell is playing bad (I don't care if you think he will turn it around and become great or not, just right now he's not playing better than any backup in the league), and Kobe has looked rusty and lazy.
I give this another 2 weeks of play like this before real rumblings of coaching change start to happen. We here question every call BS makes, but if the Lakers start off 1-10 or worst, I think the pressure really gets to Scott. I can totally see a situation where he resigns in order to save some face, and then we have Madsen come in and coach out the year, with them once again starting the search for a new coach in the summer. They'll tell any high profile free agent, go have at it pick your coach.
Regardless, although this game was close, it was one of the worst games for me, no real progression from our youngs (Russell, Clarkson, and Randle) and Kobe didn't show out. I expect one of those two to happen for me to consider it a good game.
Only bright note is MWP still playing hard out there, and Nance can really have, if given the playing time and confidence, the most impact of the rookies this year, defense doesn't need as much learning time as offense, and he can play D out there.
As always go Lakers!
Dude they've had the easiest schedule six games in.
That's fair. However, I have a difficult time seeing Kobe playing much better than now which is scary and depressing.
