on the topic of worst thing to ever happen to our franchise. I have 2 things tied at the top. Magic getting HIV and the cp3 trade getting vetoed
At least we recovered from Magic getting HIV. THe CP3 veto drastically changed our future and the landscape of the NBA.on the topic of worst thing to ever happen to our franchise. I have 2 things tied at the top. Magic getting HIV and the cp3 trade getting vetoed
I would say Magic first.
CP3 2nd
Kobe's Achilles third. I honestly think that team may have had a shot if Kobe doesn't die. Also think it sent the franchise into its tail spin toward the bottom because despite playing some of the best ball of his career in 2013, his long term health became an issue and that's when you get the cold shoulder from FAs.
I need a hit of the OG optimism
I really don't think Kobes 2013 season is appreciated ..I really think that's one of his top 3-4 period.
He was doing it all 40+ one night, 15 assists another, clutch shot after clutch shot :x
Really think of that injury doesn't happen you would still be seeing the same 25 5 and 5 Kobes as usual

2012-13 was an awesome year. Probably behind 2002-03 and 2005-06 as my favorite Kobe seasons.
The Raptors game late that year :x

I think that's the one where he hit them like 3 back to back 3s to win that game :x
Sensational
That's debatable. Lakers were on fire to close out the season (28-12) and Kobe was the one leading the charge. Chemistry seemed to be alright, players accepted their roles, Dantoni modified his style, Parker was playing injured, and Ginobili just came back from injury playing the first round on a minutes restriction. We had a very good shot. We would have faced a younger Warriors team the next round who had already over achieved and had rookie Green and Barnes, didnt have Iggy yet, and people were just starting to realize how goo Curry was. A health 2013 Lakers could've taken that too.Kobe doesn't get hurt in 2013, we make the playoffs & probably still lose to the spurs, but i do think we would have been competitive in the series. Kobe coming off a damn near career year, While being much more willing to pass could have really lured more FA's
