Let's Turn This Post Into " Upcoming/Recommend A Scary Movie " Thread.

Just saw The Unholy last night.

The movies sfx looked cheap cheesy. I wasn't mildly startled at all.

They made a concerted effort in promo for ‘18 to convince us that they were breaking new ground with this story, and they ended up following the exact same tropes lol. As a fan, I’m always gonna be hyped up for these sequels, but I’m also not expecting my mind to be blown. I’ll be there opening night, though:lol:

Anybody watch the first two Fear Street movies on Netflix yet? Thinking about starting those this weekend…

part one was absolute flames. Part 2 is pretty wack honestly. And now I don’t know how everything is gonna tie in and wrap up. Doesn’t make sense to keep going backwards, story wise, if you don’t get answers from the past. Shoulda just released them in chronological order: 1666, 1978, 1994. Or cut out part 2 and 3 because it’s all summed up pretty well in part 1.
bear with me here…….

Let’s say part 1 was goodfellas. Full movie with a beginning middle and end. You have parts that talk about Henry hills rise in rank from nickel and dime stuff all the way to major heists. You have background stories on all the characters in his life. You know the exact reasons why he Rose to power and fell back down to rock bottom.

part 2 would be like if they made a sequel to goodfellas but for some reason the entire movie was about just ONE of the nickel and dime heists that he pulled when he was 16 years old. You don’t get any updates on the side characters in his life. No jimmy, tommy, Pauli, Karen, etc. you don’t learn why he’s attracted to the life of crime because that’s already explained in the 1st film. You just have a movie about Italian Americans being bad for 1 day and you recognize Henry hills name. Pointless. Now why would I watch a part 3 in this scenario if I already know it’s gonna be set FURTHER back in time? Do I care about Henry hills great great great great grandfather?

anyways, long ridiculous story short, you should def watch both this weekend.

Fear Street Trilogy was 🔥🔥

I'm trying to get through "1994" right now, but i'm taken out of the story once a period piece tries to throw in 30 of the year's Top 100 hits just in case we forget what year it's supposed to be.
