Some of the chitter chatter in the Henry Hill thread got me scratchin' my head like, huh?

There aren't too many films that can even be mentioned in the same sentence as "The Godfather II," and it's easily the greatest mob/mafia film ever made...

..."Goodfellas" is indeed a classic film, but stop it.

It's a great shot, but we can play this game with Godfather or Godfather II if we want to compare great shots/moments.

As for the topic, I might prefer Godfather Part II (mostly because of DeNiro), but The Godfather is flawless. Credit to the second one, because it's one of the rare cases where there's a legitimate claim that the sequel is superior, but I go with the first one by a hair. And I or II being better than Goodfellas, I love all the movies and they're three of the best the last 40 years.. but the Godfather still holds the crown.

Exactly my dude who posted that intro scene knows wassup... Godfather Deux was an awesome movie... Mostly because of the story telling & the fact that Puzo built this world...



But as a film student, the cinematography in Goodfellas was UNPARALLELED...

The Godfather II is universally considered one of the greatest films ever made. But can't we just agree that they're both awesome and celebrate them both without arguing which is "better."

Casino is closer to Godfather than Goodfellas

Yep that was exactly my point Puzo built this world man... Scenes like this & Sonny at the booth tuggedat the heart strings....

But I'm a stickler for awesome cinematography & the things Scorsese did in Goodfellas was top notch...


And please don't ever mention Casino in the same breath with either of these movies thx...
