Legendary Versace Mansion sold for 41.5 mil after it was put on market for 125 mil in 2012

I hear you on that. I respect that luxury, and especially the craftsmanship from the mosaic water features, wood floors, and ceramics.

But I'd never live in such a place

Reminds me of a mansion I stayed in, in Paris once via family friends. Incredible architecture, craftsmanship opulence and luxury. But I would NEVER purchase such a place.

I'm too contemporary.

Give me something like this...and I'm hangin my jersey up in the rafters...
Yea just from reading thru the bachelor pad thread, it seems like most folks on here are into contemporary or modern homes/decor and don't get me wrong I love it too but I like other themes too.  Like my Vegas house got the versace theme and my LA house is more African Art.  Now that it looks like I'll prolly get a condo in miami instead of a house for the time being at least I'll prolly take ideas from the bachelor pad thread and do pop art theme.

And If i did have 40+ mil to drop on this versace mansion best believe I'd be having it generate income like a hotel or something too lol.  Property taxes and maintenance is no joke on a property like that.  The biggest house I ever lived in was something I rented in 2010-2011 8,392 sq ft 6 bed 6.5 baths in the hollywood hills but that was for my party business which the rent on the house + profits for me.

Eiddy: We need to bring back the luxury homes and whips threads. Good daily motivation if not just to marvel at.

YH: NT house party when you one day sign for the $40M property.

40+ mil aint really nothing for a that house ...

My parents sold an apartment in Paris for 16mil Euros and it was on the low end for the neighborhood ..

Check PMs. Miami condo market is LIVE right now.

As far as Versace house it was NEVER going to sell above $100 million. It's a great location but the people who can afford to live there would probably have little to no desire to live that "in the mix".

Homeless people chill, drink and beg in front of and next to my $100 million dollar house everyday = no thanks for most people.

The buyer actually owns the Hotel Victor which is next door right there on 11th and Ocean.  They are going to include this into their little portfolio of properties.

Most people aren't realizing it but the buyer was technically the bank who owned the non performing loan.

I was fortunate enough to get to stay there from knowing someone with a membership back in 07 before they opened it to the public.  It's not some of yall's taste but I really like the opulence plus the history with it.  I shopped heavily from Versace Home Collection for my Vegas house.  This is 3rd property in miami sold I really wanted now along with Villa Ferrari (Storch's old crib) and this dope 5 story townhouse that was right by Mokai.  Just gotta keep grinding so one day I can cop a mansion in Indian Creek/Fisher/Star/Palm/Sunset/Hibiscus Island

This guy is really Ben Baller v2 :lol

Yea I already talked about how it was never going to go for the 125mil or anywhere near, I'm pretty sure the highest price sold home in miami was 47mil for a property in Indian Creek.  Oh and I appreciate your offer but I'm already working with the Thomson Group for my property search in miami.

Can't compare 2 different markets like that.  That's like saying a flat in One Hyde Park in London sold for 136 mil british pounds.

A luxury property/architecture thread would be dope.  And lol 40mil, go ask hugheyfreeman to hit up ididit4theluv apparently.  To drop 41.5mil cash is for the wealthy forreal, I'd have to pull a Jay Electronica move on one of the Ecclestone Girls

Ididit4theluv probably coulda bought it tho.
