saw both the south beaches and the everglades. Both those shoes are mehhh at best. That plastic lace lock on the SBs just feel flimsy.

The everglades print is just plain awful. This shoe started off so hot with King's Pride, Gammas, and Aways, but every other color just lacks imo.

The elite Golds will be copped when they drop to 150 later on this year.

I just copped an adult size 13 and a GS size 7 in the Lebron XI SOUTH BEACHES... Do either shoe come with Pink Laces or will I have to purchase some? PLEASE I NEED HELP

so i am guessing we would have heard by now if the WTL are releasing 6/28.. looks like a no go right now?

I bet if the sb would've had translucent soles they would've sold out. Something that small makes the sneaker that much more desirable.

Ok? :rolleyes

Or, how about releasing them in smaller numbers?

Releasing them earlier in the middle, not near the end of the XI cycle?

Not putting SB options up on iD months beforehand, so consumers wouldn't have the chance to make a better looking SB (to them), albeit for a higher price?

Maybe dropping them before LeBron lost in the Finals, when hype was at an all time high?

I doubt people said to themselves, "Damn, no translucent soles... PASS."

Had the shoe not looked like cotton candy through the upper it would have sold better. I'm copping next weekend on employee discount and stacking $15 in rewards on that.

^^^Not a bad deal. Must have a generous store. All the ones I've dealt with are like naw to stacking military with VIP, WC, etc.

But I can't complain got them for a buck 60.

It's all personal opinions regarding why/why not a particular colorway doesn't sell well or sell out.

I just know personally that I only have a few more $200/$250 purchases left in me for the XIs, and that SB XI just doesn't appeal to me... at all. I still haven't even unds'd my SB8 or Elite 9 yet.

you can't blame Nike for resellers, that's not their fault that somebody buys out a store and resells for twice as much

And there really isn't much a purpose to resell and make 20 bucks, that's practically useless and prob not worth it

Actually it is nikes fault. They create the supply knowing it won't equal demand and for below market value. When you don't make enough of a shoe and sell it for below what most will pay, you create resellers

But what's "enough" of a colorway? 100K, 250K, 500K?...

Nike can't make GRs of every pair and have majority of shoes just sit, and then go on disco or sent to outlets... that's a terrible business model.

Nike knows limited colorways creates hype, buzz and free advertising... and they cash in well because of it.

If people don't like resellers, stop buying from them and just move on to the next release if you miss out.

They're just shoes...

I think by this point we can blame Nike. They know since 2011 there has been a greater demand for Air Jordan retros, signature basketball shoes, AF1s, Roshes, SBs, Foams, etc. The way they've take. Advantage of it is by producing more color ways, limited editions, etc instead of producing the volume to meet the demand. Or...like some do, produce another run of the product to meet the greater than expected demand.

They're keen and they know what they're doing. Definitely in a position of power. Before, it was the consumer that was in the position of power because the shoes would sit.

saw da south beaches @ dtlr yesterday; very underwhelming. seems like nike aint even try with these. congrats to everyone who wanted these and copped though.

What are waiting on? Lol Billy goat gruff gonna snatch them. :lol

Corny jokes aside. I'm glad you said elite 9 instead of sb 9s. People need to understand there are only SB's which are the 8s and these that just released. If you Id'ed a colorway with teal and pink then that what it is. Lastly the 9s are Miami Vice if anything. # thatISall

Why do people neeeed to understand that.

Does it really matter what you call them at the end of the day?

They're pretty much all the same theme.

*shrugs*

This right here is the truth. Nike id is going to hurt sales. Theres a reason why Jordans aren't there or even the elite kobes. If they are going to do id's then put it up on id toward the end of the product cycle or when the new model releases. Nike was smart with kobes line, put the bs em's on id and keep the flyknits which are the premium ones off.
