The red hits are one of the things I don't like about the BHM. I wish they just stuck with gold, black and purple.

I think both of his feet are like that. Most likely from wearing shoes that were too tight while he was growing up.

That may be why he initially didn't wear the XIs... the toe box was too flat for his pinky toes sitting on top of his feet.
