They need to just do away with the whole raffling system
after working in retail & seeing various stores i worked for change their policies for releases over & over, raffles are the best to me, The only bad thing they bring is rigged raffles (happens all over, *not every store or raffle will be*) & maybe confusion between customer & store for example what happens to winning pairs not picked up after a certain time? someone loosing a chance at copping a release because they didn't answer, diff last name picking up shoes etc. etc. & if you just ask them & do your homework you should know their procedure, not every store is exactly the same so you can't assume.
they are fair when honestly done ( I was always honest conducting my stores raffles), & of course employees eat first, biggest if only perk of the job. I genuinely have a passion for it so it was always a plus. 20% stock is available to employees (discount) & the rest of people who wanted a shoe outside of the 20% is up to the managers discretion & would pay retail depending on amount of stock. The rest of tickets jumbled up lottery style pulled & called. if you didn't answer we leave a message (some stores skip you & pick a diff #) Had anytime before 6 pm to stroll in buy your kicks stress free.
in all honesty it's fair because it doesn't matter whether you were the first person or last you had an even shot, with a window of 2-3 days to sign up (hours will always differ) Sometimes if people called asking to do a phone raffle because they couldn't make it & the store wasn't busy i would do it...
Or should we just all go back to line ups outside camped for days, weeks? (& nike doesn't want blood on their hands, in some areas u got people worrying about getting robbed, shot)
Couple questions:
1. Any word on the HOH raffles for the loser lows? I'm asking because the new HOH in my area isn't open until the weekend, but on FTL's site it says that they will be carrying the multis, I wonder if they will do a later raffle or maybe FCFS.
2. Does HOH ever do FCFS? Especially if it is located in a mall.
I actually like the raffle system... No trouble ,granted it depends on your location. Making sure your spot is honest.... Which I've never heard any complaints about over here.
Someone thinks 400 after release for wtl's hahah no way
agreed!I'll try for the wtls but if I miss out I won't be upset, all the retro nikes and retro reeboks being released will dry my tears.
yep...just gotta wait for the hype wave to crash...then it'll be smooth sailing...just like the 2K14sSounds very possible to me if these are remotely produced in high numbers
You can't always call it.Someone thinks 400 after release for wtl's hahah no way

You can't always call it.
Before pictures of 2k14s released some paid over $1500 for them and now some can't move them for $600.
Just saying if there are really going to be a bunch of pairs of wtl available then resale might be chill for once.
ayone seen or heard about sales for the blkout xi's that dropped awhile back?
hard to believe a blkout shoe sold out @ retail.
no chills when it comes to the WTL.....
2k were an aesthetic letdown which is what helped lower the resale on them. dudes really thought the 2ks would be the most amazing shoe ever for some reason which helped drive up the price

royal 1's released on eastbay
Explain why they never released Royal 1's on NDC and just exclusively to HOH?
i saw a kid once thought he WON the shoe affter he was selected for a raffle (as in the shoe is free), and when his mom found out the shoe was 250 plus tax she said heck no..lol I beleive it was for the hazelnuts.Raffles are garbage, even if a store manager only holds a size or 2 for friends and raffles the rest of the pairs fairly that's still a rigged raffle.
Rigging isn't even the biggest issue with raffles, the further issue is all the people that enter raffles for fun. Kids and adults alike, the kids don't pick up shoes mostly because of lack of funds and the grown men that don't pickup shoes because they couldn't sell their guaranteed pair for any profit.
Make people preauthorize the shoe purchase to enter the raffle and take the raffle to a corporate level and out of the stores.
one day ill have a pair of WTL X's.. one day!
The shoes on that wall >>>>
