elites never had a gold plate, that photo in the box just makes it look gold because of the light.
iffy on those elites, come release date i'll take a look at them (supposedly gr) in store, try em on as i don't own any elites, and pick them up if i like em better than those superheroes.

Dude I have been trying to do it for some time now, I've tried over the phone multiple times but only really made an instore attempt once but was still unsuccessful
I'm gonna give it another shot today instore in a different state and see what happens and if that doesn't work there's a pair on eBay I'm a just grab
