I'm sorry...does the story that Nike is telling offend you? Why are you so salty?

You can rest assured...if I post something on this board, it isn't something that I made up...that is the story behind the colorway...from the folks behind the berm...

These "nicknames" are 100% legit...

I don't come here to post nonsense...if something is my opinion...I will say "in my opinion"...otherwise...take it as a fact as it is known at the time...

I tend to believe hype follows shoes because of availability more so then what they're called

As for the KOTJ's, parachute gold's, or whatever people want to call them, i'm pretty sure they were dubbed that by Nike. I'll let JM clear that up though....?

I do understand where people are coming from when they say these don't have the "casual appeal" some of the LeBrons of the past have had.  I feel like most of the previous LeBrons sort of "hid" all the technological aspects and put together very smooth lines and were very "flowing", with a sort of "Air max/running" shoe looking midsole/sole combination that allowed a lot of easy transitions for off court wear that people found appealing.  I still think that the XI's can be worn casually with jeans (just not MY jeans! ha ha) it's just all about how you go about doing it (playing down the complex shoe with a simple fit) and what your style/preference is.  Some will think that the XI simply "Can't" be worn with jeans, just based on their style/preference, which I get.  I don't think XI's will look as good as say 9's and X's looked casually but that's just my take. 

A lot of people said the X was a terrible shoe that couldn't be worn casually, I actually think it was one of my favorite's with jeans, and preferred to wear them with pants than shorts because they were such a tall shoe. All about your personal preference and what "you" like in the end.

I get that it is an easy way to associate shoes with colorways, but a nickname for every damn shoe is too much.  Like I said, sooner or later the hype will be on the Willy Wonka 12s.  My point was that naming a shoe after a comic book character, when the colors are NOT the same, is stupid.  Calling a shoe the "King of the Jungle" is stupid.  If there were a lion eating a damn gazelle, I would get it.

I wish they didn't speckle the red part of the upper on the away's, metallic red w/o the speckling would have been fire, just my opinion tho...
 
likin both CWs so far.  if i had to choose, probably go wit KOTG reminds me of flightposite which i never got a pair but the heat away is nice 2 cos it reminds me of metallic red foams - my fave foam CW.  hard choice lol
 
 
I really like both colors, but the green pair is easily my favorite. I love how the darker green is matte and the olive color has shimmer. The sole is light blue? Hard to tell with pics but it makes the colors pop. The tiny bit of red is a nice accent too. I wouldn't change anything on them. I think they did a great job.
