I just asked a simple question

tmac is still my guy. but bron is out of this world right now.

and jamal crawford is one of the best scorers in the game.
but is he comparable to kobe? heck no.

hence why stats DO MATTER.

bruce bowen is considered a great defender because he gets away with being dirty.
nobody is going to give a heck about him when he's retired because he has no stats to
back it up.

His teammates are 97% garbage. Look at it this way: If teams average X points and Y assists, and you look at one team where 11 guys aren't competent enoughto contribute, somebody has to put up those stats. He's good...but guys like John Salmons and Francisco Garcia put up 20 and 10 when Artest, Bibby, andUdrih don't play. Give Lebron a REAL point guard to play around, and I guarantee you his assists will go down. Put a legitimate scorer beside him, and hispoints will go down. I won't knock his rebounding because Gooden and Illgauskus pull about 10+ down per game, and he hustles for those. But people arereally checking for his points and assists stats way too much. He's good, but people are acting like other players in the league couldn't do this iftheir teammates were as bad as his are.

^ yeah but you can also say put a point guard with a consistent jumper and he would just pass out of double teams and still get his assists, so you reallycan't throw in hypothetical stuff...How many times have you seen gooden smoke point blank shots and his perimeter shooters throw up wide open bricks?

He's good, but people are acting like other players in the league couldn't do this if their teammates were as bad as his are.
because they CAN'T!
kobe and t-mac would get the points, but do they have the vision like lebron to dish it out?
nash can get the dishes, but can he score 30 a night?
duncan can board and score, but can he play 40 minutes a night all year long?
you get my point.

Why is this thread still open? This is nothing but a player A vs player b thread and since the mod inhere is actively in the discussion (ska), he's not doing his job.

Face it you'll never get a Lebron guy to admit Kobe is better, and you'll never get a Kobe guy to admit Lebron is better, and you have a few bitterhaters sprinkled in the mix.

Shut this stupid @*#$@+! thread down, before it devolves any further.

Lebron still doesn't have a reliable jump shot, doesn't shoot free throws well, nor does he play good individual defense. Other than that, I believe he and Kobe are equal in all other aspects of the game.

Youve got to be kidding me.

Kobe is NOWHERE in the same galaxy as LeBron when it comes to playing team ball and ELEVATING his teammates.

Kobe is an outstanding scorer and a solid defender. Thats it.

Although the man is extremely talented, I can't watch many Cavs games just because his team is boring, and since Lebron is so big (pause), his game lacksfluidity, word to Clyde.

He is nowhere near the explosive talent that Kobe has though, who I still consider the best player in basketball. Also, Kobe is a proven clutch player.

I have NBA League Pass, and not to mention ESPN slurps the dude and shows a lot of their games. I watch the games, but when I say "not as much", Imean not as much as any Cleveland fan, just as much as the casual fan.

Dude is not a GREAT clutch player YET, not to mention when it comes to shooting free throws in crunch time, dude just bites his nails and has a dumb smirk onhis face.

His performance vs. Detroit was amazing, but that's the kind of thing Kobe has done many times in his career. I will be fair though, in that Lebron hasmore of a PG mentality, he reminds me of a Magic Johnson with more scoring ability, so its unfair to compare him to flat-out explosive scorers like Kobe.

I like Lebron, I have all of his damn kicks and rare PE's to boot, but I don't think he's the best player in the L just yet. This is the opinion ofone man, and I'm sticking to it.

dude had a few game winners in the playoffs 2 yrs ago. he was clutch in the playoffs last yr for the most part until the spurs. he has been pretty clutchthis yr for the cavs.

his fts have been subpar, but he has actually made them when he has to in the 4th (esp. during the last 6-7 games).

u have league pass, but i doubt u watch much.

Kobe has had many clutch performances where he simply just took over games in the 4th quarter (I'm not referring to playoffs specifically).

I'm not taking anything away from Lebron dude, no point in picking apart word for word what I'm saying. All I'm saying is that he's not a GREATclutch player yet, and with that said, he is def among the top in the league.

I'm putting like 1-2 people ahead of him.

it's not player A v. player B. the purpose of this thread was to say bron is the best RIGHT NOW simply b/c of what he's doing. people can arguewho's the best (duncan/kobe/whoever). c'mon now

kobe has had many b/c he's in the league 10 yrs longer. outside of his first 2-3 yrs, his last 2 yrs he's been one of the best in clutchsituations.

How many triple doubles u think LBJ gonna end up wit @ the end of the season?? I'm gonna go wit about 15

Stop the nonsense.
That playoff performance was top 5 of all-time.
Kobe never had that type of performance in playoffs, go ask Shaq.

There is a difference though.
Lebron can play like Magic and Mike at the same time.
Kobe can't play like Magic cuz of his lack of court vision.
Now, we've seen Lebron dropping 30s and 40s.
If he didn't look to involve his teammates like Kobe 2years ago, Lebron could've avged close to 40.
So let's not act like Lebron cannot score like Kobe if he wants to.
his game lacks fluidity, word to Clyde.
LOL. Fluidity..
I don't really see any type of fluidity in Kobe's game.
His moves are very jerky and out of control sometimes.
Reminds me of Mike James,Travis outlaw, or Jamal Crawford who look like they're od'in all the time.
Not saying that LeBron is fluid.
On the other hand, MJ and TMac moves are just smooth...
