The tag is faded out.. i cant make out the date codes the shape in the side pick kinda looks off tho doesnt it?

I don't think those are '01s. Reason why they look off to you is because of the ankle padding. If I'm not mistaken, those are the first retro's from '94. Higher ankle cut similar to the og's. The retro's of the iii's starting in 2001 have a smaller cut around the ankles. Also seems the elephant print is more thicker than the '01's.

Believe it or not some pairs from '94 are still wearable. Since they're beat, the midsoles don't have dry rot compared to ds pairs. They will eventually begin to crumble. Just clean them up and enjoy wearing them before the crumbling sets in.
