88 has told me as long as it's only on one side, it's fine. Mine is kinda dark too but just one sided

Affirmative. 100% legit. Paper fluctuates on how dark and light they can be. As long as it's the right paper on only one side. Lighting can also affect the darkness/lightness. Shoes itself look solid to me.
