RoLo to Knicks. Wes to Mavs. DJ Mavs or Clips. LMA Spurs or Suns.

If we don't at least come out of this with Tobias Harris man....

We. Are. Re. Building.

I would LOVE DeAndre, or LMA to sort of signify a corner turned. But it's not a must.

Pull Tobias, and I'm thrilled with this off-season. :smokin

Russell PG
Clarkson SG
Tobias SF
Randle PF
Upshaw C

BABIES!!!!!

Get me Tobias Harris, I'll rock this team like no other.

Young, Cheap, Athletic, Versatile, Talented. :smokin

Front office is a grease fire. Is what it is. But we can still get lucky. They only need to add one young, talented asset, and we'd have a team full of parts we can build around, or flip come deadline time.

That's how you rebuild properly.

25 mil to Kobe, 4 year deals to Nick, 97 mil offers to Melo, not flipping Pau, not so much.

But sign this 22 year old asset, along with some talented draft picks we've picked up the last 12 months (Team Tank says you're all welcome) and we're ok.

Trade Kelly for free. Cut Jabari.

Sign Tobias to the Max. Give Biyombo the same 3 year $20mil that Ed got.

Have enough left over for maybe a veteran 3rd PG. Which could be valuable.

Call it an offseason. Push for 32 wins.

Come back in 2016, look for a wing and a big with $42mil in space.

Very uncomfortable with the idea that the front office is incapable. If Jim is like Jerry and plays his role appropriately in the background, then the man making the decisions is still the man that played a role in building a dynasty and was chiefly responsible for a repeat champion. The same guy who got Pau and the role players that made a repeat champion possible.

I want to believe more than anything that what has plagued us is simply a mixture of bad timing with Kobe's contract and having nothing to sell to prospective players. The fact that we got a second chance at LMA I think speaks to an expectation of what the Lakers should be able to present and that this expectation is still widespread.

You would be cool with maxing a somewhat poor mans Rudy Gay? I totally understand the cap rise and it lessening the blow but isn't it telling his own team isn't that high on him, and neither is the rest of the NBA. I don't even think Magic fans are big on him. He has the reputation as a ball stopper, etc. The Magic probably try to keep him so he can be used as an asset.

I'm biased though. I never was big on him nor his game. The one thing he has going for him is his age. But yes I wouldn't be mad at getting him simply because the Lakers do need to get someone this free agency that can be a part of their future. They don't need a ball stopper/highly offensive minded wing around Russell, Randle, Clarkson, but yea I get it you gotta get someone.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't we have to spend some minimum amount of money to fill the cap at this point?

I find Ramona's recent tweets absolutely ridiculous if true.

They supposedly spent the first hour plus of the presentation on the business side of things. I cannot comprehend how they thought it was a good idea to start their presentation with that stuff. The basketball aspect is a tough sell, but that HAS TO BE the focus of the presentation and the initial topic of conversation. You have to sell him on the potential of the young guys, them growing fast, how they fit with him, and how they can reload through free agency around him ASAP. Also sell him on how they'll use him, how his life will be made easier as the focal point of the offense, etc. You know basketball talk.......

Then you drop the business/branding stuff as a sweetener.

Who made that presentation and thought it was a good idea to start off with the branding stuff.....

Because branding and outside of basketball business and endorsement make way more than a max contract he would received. For example, Lebron got $90 millions before playing his first NBA game from NIKE.

There's gotta be a reason NO TEAM has signed Tobias to an offer sheet......maybe there's a sense among execs that ORL will match after all despite the "reports" from "league sources" we've read

Can someone re-size my Avy? Gonna need it for about 2-3 years.

Thank you
