LaMarcus Aldridge will not be joining the Lakers, The Times has learned. They were a 50-50 choice but he disliked bball part of presentation

Aldridge was floored in a good way by Houston's analytics, on-court projections in their presentation. Not so with the Lakers.
These guys wanna pitch to DURANT

If Kobe made 10 mil this year, ala Duncan/Dirk

We'd have 38+ mil in cap, enough to pull both DeAndre and LaMarcus, right now, today.

But hey, what do I know? :lol

I guess we'll just have to hope that D'Angelo and Randle ball out this year and next year's FA crop will want to come play with them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Seems like we as a franchise have ZERO cache/sex appeal among free agents now. The %$^$% CLIPPERS are now the team everyone's lining up to play for... :{

Who's a viable FA target next year? I don't foresee KD wanting to play in LA.

Also the lakers are meeting with shumpert, like face to face right? That would seem to indicate, at least to me, that they're looking for a backup guard rather than making clarkson a backup. Again, I could very well be misreading all this

Rockets showed analytics to LA
Lakers showed a freakin power point.

Power point probably didn't havent bullets. Just a full essay -_-

Never thought I'd say this but I'm ready for Kobe to retire and this front office is officially moronic.

I'm betting a higher than 50% chance that they just bring back Hill and Ed Davis.

As @Mike_Bresnahan says, Aldridge felt too much of Lakers presentation focused on outside opportunities; wanted clearer, better b-ball focus
Morons in the front office.
They can't sell him on basketball. It's clear. The young guys need to show out and then people will come. It's tough to sell vets on rookies with "potential"

With losing all those games we got a gem in D'angelo, but it makes it tougher to get free agents at the current moment. It's a process.

whatever man if these guys don't want to be hollywood they have no business leading laker nation!!!

I cannot wait to see our youngbloods grow together into the next dynasty
