Until 1977, NBA teams played for the Walter A. Brown trophy which, like the Stanley Cup, they weren't allowed to keep. The trophy was redesigned that year (to look like it does now) and every champ since then got to keep the trophy and a new one was created every year.

If we take the 11 we've won in LA, and the titles the Clippers have won, we get 11 total.
