I can’t say it simple enough.

It’s fine you guys don’t want to give credit, or acknowledge where the 2007 Suns were.

Even if I pretend it’s his fault for 2004, 2005, and 2006, in 2007, he had the San Antonio Spurs on the ropes. Robert Horry hip checks Nash, and for some reason, Amare and Diaw get suspended.

Now, had Mike been able to insert Gortat, Deng, Rondo, Nate, or Rudy into those games, maybe he wins. Maybe he doesn’t, we’ll never know.

But here’s what I do know. Pop, and all his splendid wonderful coaching praise, and his THREE Hall of Famers, went on to defeat the Suns, without those 5 draft picks (or even replacement level draft picks if you so choose), AND without Stat, AND without Diaw. And for that, Pop and his 3 HOFers limped past the Suns. All it took was Mike losing roughly 7 different players, that could have been at his disposal, and again, that doesn’t even include his stupid *** owner selling Joe Johnson.

Yet every one of you praise Pop. For beating a Suns team, at half-staff. And then tell me, “Mike never won anything with that Suns team”

Give that Suns team Jerry Buss, and guess what, Mike wins at least the one title, and maybe he wins more. Why? Because Buss doesn’t sell all those draft picks to save money, that’s why.

Mike didn’t need more talent added, he just needed his talents not sold. The guy already had a thin bench, and instead of using those picks to improve the bench, they kept selling, for half a damn decade. Then they get 2 starters suspended, for really no reason, and suddenly his team is even thinner.

Then we praise Pop for winning that series. :{

I ask you simply Tupac, would they have won the title in 2007 with some of those picks, and no suspension for Amare/Diaw?

Would they have finished the Spurs off? The almighty Pop and his 3 HOFers? They had them on the ropes, and Stern took it away, well, Stern and the Suns owner selling their potential depth.

As for develop, you really want to know if Rondo could have developed under Mike D'Antoni's system? :lol :lol :lol :lol

And Deng + Marion + Raja on defense, you serious?

lmao just found out me and nick young have the same birthday. and his net worth is only 2.3 mil after 6 yrs in the L. Sorry, but screw the lakers if I'm him. Dude balled his life out in a contract year, he's trying to pad that bank account. He's never even mentioned the word championship I don't think. I mean ever. in interviews, to friends, when his team gets into the playoffs on 2k. It's just not one of those things thats as important to him. Everybody has their own values.

Cp your always so aggressive...I can imagine you if you were involved in the lakers front office

I don't care about names.

I demand one of you dudes to show me a franchise that can sell FIVE YEARS worth of first round draft picks, in a row, AND cut loose a 24 year old all star, and then win 60+ games, but not come up short.

I demand you all to show me a team that can do that.

LA couldn't.
San Antonio couldn't.
Miami can't.
Boston can't.

show me a team that can. SHOW ME.

FIVE, years. Five. Not one draft pick, FIVE. Consecutive. Half a damn decade of picks, sold. Not traded for other assets, SOLD.
You won't find one....there. I said it.

So are you saying we should keep MDA for another 5 years and draft players that fit hsi style and see what happens? Is that what you want?
Why 5? Let's give him 20.

I am positive that if we had him for 20 years, AND in that time, we picked up Lebron, Durant, CP3 (again), Love, Jabari, Randle, that 7'5" high schooler, and all of the next 7 incoming freshmen classes at UK, he would win a championship.

POSITIVE.

And Deng + Marion + Raja on defense, you serious?

Here is the thing....you ask me a question you know nobody can answer.

Here is what I know. He has won ZERO championships with some good teams. He came to LA and yes he may have been given some bad breaks with injuries and everything...but he still made many mistakes in his tenure with the Lakers. Coached us to our worst record ever....sorry dude. I'm done with him. #bye

I find it interesting you point out coaching us to the worst record for us ever, but he was great in a **** hole like Phoenix.

Usually, we would be the ones that could fix whatever ails him. Mitch pulling in talent, Buss family spending to bring people in and keep them in. The anti Suns approach.

Then, we start looking at what our front office has been doing lately, and we place the blame on Mike? :lol :lol :lol :lol

So in Phoenix, the blame goes to Mike, and not the front office.
And in LA, the blame goes to Mike, and not the front office.

Yet he had completely different results each time, with completely different rosters.

*shrugs*

I look forward to the next coach we bring in that doesn't change a ******* thing, I'm going to really be on my game then. Swear on everything, they better resurrect Red Auerbach for this **** or it's gonna get messy. :lol

So you blame the worst record on coaching more than injuries or the roster?

Not disagreeing with you completely. Just wondering.

Sort of, kind of, changing the subject. (in a sense)

Rondo
Raja
Deng
Marion
Stat

as a unit, might be the most hellacious defensive unit I can envision. :x

Literally, the 7 foot tall, uber athletic Amare at like 24-25 would be the worst defender of that bunch, which to me is just insane. :eek :{

Rondo and Raja could switch on anything, Marion and Deng would be just a nightmare.

That's 5, quick, athletic, long arms, smart defenders, and that group wouldn't even need someone to teach them defense like a Thibbs, even Mike's no defense teaching could get that 5 to lock a team down, just off sheer athleticism.

Hear me now, thank God Sarver was a cheap *** owner, or we woulda been screwed for a long while.

Did you guys know that rck played Yeezus disciple 1 on 1 in basketball?

No joke. They actually met up to play in LA.

And rck got owned In both games :rollin

Yeezus holding it down for the Lakeshow :hat

I guess everybody went right past where I said he got some bad breaks....

Its not all his fault...but CP and everybody else knows, somebody has to be the fall guy.

The front office is to blame because they never should have brought him in.

CP your comment about when we win its bec ause of phil and when we lose its because of MDA....you forgot something. When we lose its becuase of MDA, Mike brown and Rudy T! LOL

Hmmm....what was the front office supposed to do? I mean you put D-12, Nash and Kobe together you figure anybody should be able to coach that to some wins. Now...Nash goes down...I get it. Kobe and D-12 didn't fit his system period....Mike should have thought about changing things. Plus if you don't teach D in pratice they won't play D during the game. Just what I believe.

I didn't go past it. I was wondering which you blamed more.
