**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

I know it doesn't count since it's just a GLeague team but I'll take it. 🔥

Not sure why but I’ve always liked Cam and believed something was there but he just needed to be in the right situation.

Always nice to go up to Portland and get a win.

Looking into the stats for the team

17th in PPG (2.8 from top 10) but it is because they are
30th in FGA per game (5.6 FGA less then # 10)
5th in FG% (48.7%)
20th in 3P% (This is because AR and TP shoot 25% of the teams 3s and are shooting 32%. Shout out to Rui 50%. Bron 39%. DLo 39%)
6th in FTA
17th in FT%
28th OReb
4th in DReb (20th in DReb %. The other team Lakers defend the most shots per game because they are the 5th worst in allowing OReb)
15th in AST (2 APG from top 5)
12th worst in TO (LeBron 5th in TO, AR 36th)
1st in Blocks (Mainly just AD)
9th least Blocks allowed
5th Most fouls drawn
5th least fouls committed
20th team +/- largely 1st quarter driven
(30th +/- 1Q, 16th in 2Q, 20th in 3Q, 1st 4Q)

Three fixes:
1. Stop turning the ball over so much
2. Get defensive rebounds
3. AR and TP need to get going from 3. If TP doesn’t then there is no reason for him to take minutes from Cam, Rui or Vando)

The offense isn’t really bad at all. A couple people who are still starting slow. But the biggest issue is they are bad defensive rebounders and allow too many second chances, so they get less shots per game (I’m looking at Rui and TP as part of the blame for this. Hopefully Vando can change it a bit)
