Need the lakers to win this year so I can go ahead and be done with the NBA
too many narratives. Too many “experts” messing up the game. Can’t watch a game without stupid commentary all over the place. From the actual announcers to the media hottakers to the stupid fans in the nba thread.
Here’s an example: charles Barkley saying that BI didn’t improve til he left LA. That comment, made by a guy who idiots actually listen to and consume his thoughts and then make their own arguments from clearly never saw BI play before this season. They would have known that he improved every year and played lights out right before his blood clot for LA.
Similarly the idea I keep hearing about how “lakers should have kept BI instead of Kuzma...” even though there is ZERO evidence that the lakers had a choice of one of the core to keep, people still use that to push an agenda of laker hate if they choose.
As a fan it gets exhausting. Not only do we have to watch the game but then you gotta go defend your team from false narratives as if we are publicists for the team. As much you try and ignore it, it has now entered every aspect of the nba and so it gets very hard to. As a die hard kobe fan, I have felt this for a long time.Only real Kobe fans know how much subtle undercover hate he’d get for many many years. Subtle jabs by the media and therefore casual fans (who listen to these guys)took its toll to the point that we were against wanting LeBron on the team in his honor. Lol
I know I know “it ain’t that serious”
What a goof
What a goof
Means we lose game 1 but likely win the next 4Game 1 is on Friday. That means we'll have played one game in 11 days.
My mind says HOU blows out OKC tmrw but my heart says they keep it close to the bitter end.
Tmrw is gonna be nuts.
If I'm LA I still want OKC because they are more predictable and got less fire power. So we want Houston?! (i’d rather not have to rely on DG and Co hitting threes to keep up with HOU rn)
OKC seems like the choice to be “rested” for WCF
Steven Adams can only guard AD for so long assuming he plays the 5 and is food if he guards any other position. Not sure about the young guns (bucket getters no doubt but experience helps)
CP3 giving buckets to everyone though
I also prefer OKC over HOU. If houston is on man are they on.If I'm LA I still want OKC because they are more predictable and got less fire power.
As much as we clown em, Harden really is unguardable when he gets it going and their style of play got more explosive potential. That said, that's the rockets in theory and so far they don't look anywhere near close to that version. They aren't a good shooting team and Westbrook doesn't look ready for these high stress games.
Even if they get by OKC tmrw, if Russ plays like butt again that doesn't bold well on their chances against the Lakers.
