**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

The way y'all can predict the future that Lebron is gonna be injury prone is amazing.
I mean it is bound to happen though, has any player played as long and NEVER got hurt. I know he is the exception to the rule, but is he also the exception to the rule that once you get injured once you have a tendency to have another injury.

Ima judge him based on his history instead of waiting and expecting more injuries. That's not my mindset.

His history is he just missed 15 games, the longest such streak in his career

Exactly. So how does that mean he'll be injury prone from now on?

And if ya'll are scared of injuries why do we want AD and Kwahi so bad? Ya'll should be extra doom and gloom predicting their futures.

Again as i've been stating from last season, this Lebron experiment is only a win if it Brings us another big FA.... Get a KD, Kawhi, AD, Klay type player.... and it doesn't matter that Lebron slows down a bit & has to miss games. However if we don't get anyone in FA or are forced to trade multiple young guys for a star then this could get messy quick.

The Optimal plan is to have Lebron & Star

with a DEEP squad involving Ball, BI, Kuz, Hart, Zu & the Mcgee, Lance, Rondo etc etc of the world. That team becomes an immediate contender but they are also set up to be a good team for the next 5-10 years.

I just think when a 34 year old with all that mileage and coming off 8 straight Finals has a significant injury, the dominoes start falling and it’s gonna be one injury after another. A sprain here, a strain there, a tweak, a pull, out 1 week. Out 2 weeks. Day to day....miss 2 games here and there. Which sucks for us because the way this team is built we needed Lebron 82 games

Kwahi was hurt once right and just decided F it I ain't playing this season. I don't mind Kwahi also because he isn't 16 seasons in.

Exactly the mileage is why I am doom and gloom.

This is an old man injury, that's why it's concerning especially for someone who has had as little injury history as Lebby has.

Steph had the same injury is he an old man?

Injuries happen don’t matter what age you are 19 25 or 34 they happen

Who knows, not even playing with full contact yet.

It was either him or Rasheed did the same thing throwing up the towel when Sasha was icing game 7 in 2010.

But there’s no distracting the Machine :hat

The funny thing about it is that other superstars miss dozens of games and nobody says anything. Look at Steph curry, Kevin Durant and Kawhi. Steph has literally missed multiple playoff series and nobody says anything, KD missed 20 games his first year in 2017, Kawhi gets rest every three or four games, etc. It's because those teams actually have talent outside of their superstar and we're fully reliant on one guy to do everything for us or else entire team breaks down. It sad

Those other guys aren’t in season 16 with 8 straight Finals . There’s a difference between a Kawhi injury and a Lebron injury at age 34 season 16

What if lebron knows this ain’t the year and he’s tanking for that D. Rose special #1 pick.

They had 1.7% odds getting the first pick.

Lebron is 16 years in with possibly the most miles ever by that time....

Ya'll why are ya'll so concerned about Lebron's injuries, other guys get hurt too.

Not to say that Lebron is injury prone but it is known that with advancing age, musculoskeletal soft tissue function declines, susceptibility to injuries increases, and the ability to recover from injury declines. We basically saw that when Lebron performed what appeared to be a simple lunge for the ball which resulted in a ruptured groin muscle that has sidelined him a month +.

Considering Lebron has played 16 NBA seasons and the equivalent of 3 more seasons with his playoff experience, expecting Lebron to defy science and the aging process is a joke.

So if Lebron ain’t injury prone (yet) he is def at elevated risk for injury. I hope we can all agree on that
