And Ingram still has a long ways to go. Improvements are promising but he ain't show enough to prove he's gon be elite in the future

Media does this same **** with Jaylen Brown. Yes, he's a good player but if he was in Orlando, nobody would hear about him and we'd be wondering if he was gunna wash out of the league. If Ingram got drafted to the Celtics last year, in that situation & under Stevens, he'd be getting stupid hype right now.

People get way too hyped off numbers and never see the bigger picture. Different sport, but JuJu smith (2nd round WR) is putting up stupid numbers for PIT while Corey Davis (top 10 WR) is struggling. Does this mean Juju is better than Davis? Nah, it just means he's in a better situation.

Y'all dudes need to relax. If you look at the rookie years of today's stars and then see their progress over 4-5 years, you can easily see that guys, (especially young) guys need time. Just like with Ingram.. we saw flashes as a rookie. We've seen flashes with Ball.

We have a young team with a new coach. Give them all some time. No need getting worked up over less than half a season.

Obviously there's a larger systemic issue that needs to be addressed then. No debate that we can identify talent. But the problem is player development and coaching. Every single player we have drafted has yet to reach their potential. In fact some have regressed. The trend has to be alarming. We simply aren't putting players in a position to succeed

Plus we have retained these antiquated ideologies of the old laker way that has limited our ability to adapt and innovate. Luke needs to go. Pelinka and magic need to follow the LA Dodgers approach. Favor analytics and strategy and complement that with good coaching and smart people in the front office/coaching staff.

It's been two years and luke still doesn't know about lineup optimization. Legit basic stuff

Pretty much agree with everything except luke gotta go.

Scouting system is great but it doesn't help that the only prerequisite to being a LA assistant coach is "Are you friends with Luke Walton" or "did you coach at Arizona?"

Miles simon has been a shooting coach and college assistant coach, before he was with the Lakers. Mermuys was with Denver and Toronto. Shaw you already know. I guess Beuchler is the only questionable won, but he won the summer league so lay off him

Ball won't be a bust. He's a starter playing the toughest position in basketball. He's just more of a project than we initially though. That being said, I wonder why we don't start Clarkson. We drafted Ingram #2 overall and he was a bench player all last season, there's no shame in being a reserve player. There are two schools of thinking on this: the first is to throw a young player out there and letting him take his lumps and the second is to protect his confidence and bring him along slowly. It's clear starting against the Currys and Hardens of the world is doing more harm than good. My fear is that we're approaching David Carr territory where his confidence might be gone for good.

It's defintely in his head. Everyone was was giving him s*** for shooting too much and his shooting percentage being historically low so now he's afraid to shoot at all.

It's OK to have a 'pass first' point guard but Zo is a 'pass-only' point-guard. Some of his turnovers are because defenders are playing the passing lanes exclusively because they know he's afraid to shoot. Wish we could have red-shirted him like Philly is doing with Fultz. He needs to take some time away and figure his shot out NOW. Forget waiting until April; get him the best shooting coach money can buy and fix his jumper now so by opening day next year he'll be up to at least average NBA standards. I can't watch an NBA starter shoot below 30% for an entire season.

the fastest way to get better is live reps against the best competition. You don't bench the #2 pick on a team that isn't playing for anything this year.

Everyone wants to tank for high draft picks, but nobody wants to develop them if they're not a day 1 HoFer
