A strictly monetary fine is the best we could've hoped for. Easy to say when it's not my money. Hopefully it can be used a persuasion tool come free agency to show the lengths the organization was willing to go to land him.

If we did that, I have zero problem with the fine. I have problem with basketball reasons because we did what we're supposed to do and worked out the trade with two other teams, and the commissioner said no. This? If we went outside the rules, pay up. I have no problem with that.
 
I'm down for the fine if that means we're not the only team in the league who isn't tampering anymore.
