Still gotta see how they feel and look on my feet, but i think i'll have more of these then the 1's

Something I like about them is the fit and feel are good right out the box. I know you mentioned having wider feet as I also do myself somewhat and have concerns about the strap fit sometimes (Air Cruz thread) but the strap on the Kyrie 2's work good even for people with wider feet even though I still don't don't choke and pull the strap as tight as can it works well and you can place/attach it on different parts of the Velcro oppose to the strap on the Air Cruz where it's harder to fully fasten if you have wider feet sometimes due to the strap length or thickness. I think you'll be really happy with them when they arrive.

I'll be doing more of these than the 1's also which really isn't that hard considering I only purchased 2 pairs lol (Dreams & ASG's)

I tried a pair of the first color way on yesterday.  The toe box felt a little smaller on these, so while the 1s were a little too big in my usual 13, the 2 should be good to go in that size.  The Christmas will be my first pair.

Quick first impressions. Lockdown and traction were definite highlights. Toebox is a little more spacious, was able to go TTS on these whereas I had to go .5 up on the 1s. The overall fit and the strap really help to make the shoe feel like an extension of your foot and there's pretty much no movement within the shoe once you lace up. Traction didn't squeak on the court I was playing on but these are definitely better than the 1s I think because of the pliable rubber and multidirectional pattern. The cushion was pretty mediocre - couldn't feel the heel zoom unit and the forefoot phylon is thin. The difference in forefoot and heel also plays into the transition as the heel is noticeably higher off the ground and almost feels like it's pushing you forward a little bit. However, because they only used phylon, court feel in these is amazing. Very low to the ground. As for overall stability, I'm conflicted. I know Nike used the rounded outsole on these because of the whole banking/cutting concept but I feel like it comes at the expense of overall stability. I never felt like my foot was gonna roll over when I was just walking or running in a straight line, but I could feel it start to on hard cuts. I also haven't turned my ankle in at least a year and I did in these within an hour of my lacing them up.

I want to like these. They look sick and they actually have a lot going for them. I hope the ankle rolling was just a one time thing and stability isn't actually an issue. Honestly the shape and form factor on these remind me a lot of the original hyperrev, except with more structure and better traction. Too bad they couldn't incorporate the original cushioning setup of the og hyperrev. Will see after I put in some more time in them whether or not I'll keep them in the rotation.

I agree with what AZP traction and lockdown is great. Definitely a step up from last years model (the 1's traction was one of the worst traction shoe I've ever had in a very long time).

my only gripe with these shoes is the cushion, or rather, the lack thereof. The cushion feel extremely thin, it felt like there was hardly any cushion under my feet at all. My feet usually doesn't feel that fatigue after a 2 hour BBall workout. The closest shoe i can compare it to in terms of cushion would be the Drose 4. I personally prefer additional cushion. It might be because i have been playing in the Drose 6 for the past few weeks and boost cushion is unbelievably good.

Reading a lot of negative and positive comments. Wondering will there ever be an perfect shoe made.
Is Nike doing that on purpose? Making every shoe have mostly good with a few bad features. I feel like its like that with every shoe. Be it running or basketball.

i hear you... everyone's preference is different.

I've also played extensively with the Kobe X and curry 2 and those are pretty responsive, and those shoes still provide much more cushioning. So if i were to compare the kyrie 2 shoe to those shoes, the kyrie 2 has significantly less cushion . Its up to the reader to decide if that's something you prefer.

The closest thing to a perfect hoop shoe was the lebron x elite, i do think nike knowingly comes out with inferior shoes on purpose when they could make near perfect shoes. Of course aesthetics are all personal preferences

100% this. there will never be complete agreement on the best of anything in the world, and thats whats great about oppinions, everyones is different.

Just saw the Effects in person and the graphics definitely pop more. I kinda wish Nike did one graphic instead of two different ones. It's a little too much for me. Also are these sold out at most HOHs? They were only in the display case.
