I'm not a big Duke fan, but I can't agree with that statement.  There may not be any superstars in the league that came from Duke, but there's plenty of guys that have from Coach K's system into the league that have been strong contributors for a lot years.  Grant Hill, Brand, Maggette, Battier, Boozer, Deng and even JJ Reddick and Mike Dunleavy have all been very solid NBA players.  Yeah, there have been some guys from Duke that didn't amount too much in the league, but usually when Dukies get drafted, they stick around for a while.
