I think someone was just referring to getting their Drill Sergeants and licking the soles because they were new, like a real [something] would, then someone thought they meant that real Drill Sergeants lick their soles (?). Then more confusion...

Just saw the Drill Sergeant today at Nike. They look alright and they feel more comfy then the 9's IMO. Might have to cop a pair on the low.

I just wish the x had the 9 midsole instead. Hate that clear piece across. But I think the overall tech and support is better in the X like others stated

I dont mind the zoom just that see thru crap is pointless on the midsole.

Zoom actually makes it last longer and doesn't wear down as quickly vs just lunarlon like in past models

Zoom should be good, but I've had 3 airbags blowout, and 2 over inflate somehow. 5 pairs total that have been messed up. And my buddy has had 3. And I'm only 155 lbs so it's not like they're blowing out due to weight issues. Love the shoe performance wise, just hasn't been durable. 3 pairs blew out or had the air bag bubble just after 3 wears. The other 2 I played in probably 15-20x a piece. View media item 1678734

Yeah that's the bad thing about zoom(on this model) over lunarlon. Rather have it bottom out as you can still wear them than that bubble. I need to wear my X more just in case that happens they can be returned.

it's definitely not flyknit, it has the back panel from the normal version that isn't the same as the back tab on the elite low. Not sure why that artlice says flyknit.
