Kid gets Gun for Birthday then kills entire family.

Speaking of stupid gifts, my sister told me a professor at her school got his son a gun.
His son is 7 YEARS OLD. But they were practicing out in the back yard (open field) and the professors daughter came out.
She's 4 years old and the professor shot and killed her.

My father gave me a gun WAY younger than 14...

But its not like I kept it in my room or nothing...

It was always put up unless we went out to shoot it...

Yep this is more common than some would thing and I see nothing wrong with it.

If I asked for a gun at that age, I would get the
indifferent.gif
and probably my %%+ beat.

My parents wouldn't even think twice about it.

I'd like to think it isn't normal for a kid to receive a gun as a gift.

Yeah, usually you get the .22 before 14.  14 is 12 gauge shotgun or 30-06 hunting rifle.

I didn't even ask for it though...
