@ all these remakes or filmatizations of 80s cartoons.. What a cheap way of trying to make a quick buck, capitalize on people's childhood memories. But inthe end all these remakes suck.

Who watches this crap and keeps these fools going with all these remakes?

Love that song. Me and some friends sing every time something important happens

heard about this awhile back...didn't like the concept then, and after seeing those pics, i reallydont like it and will not be seing this in the movie theatre.....Pat Morita is spinning in his grave...Ralph Macchio's porno stache is spinning on his lip

I dont think its a bad idea remaking it, the only problem I have is that the main character is too young. but as long as cobra kai is in it im ok.

Super bummed on this one. My main question is.. why didn't they just call it something else? It seems that this remake has nothing to do with the originalcharacters or storyline, it's just borrowing the premise of fobby Asian man teaching American kid martial arts, but is that enough to justify inclusion ofthis film in the "Karate Kid" legacy? Not to me. That'd be like if they installed The Mummy under the Indiana Jones header. Sure, it'sinspired by it, and basically the same thing, but at least they gave it a different name to clear the association. Can you tell it bums me out?

I read that it's called "The Kung Fu Kid", but I'm not sure whether or not that was just the working title.

Yeah, I just titled the thread with it being a remake of the OG film. I was pretty sure it wasn't going to be called "Karate Kid: The NextGeneration" or something
