I never said I didnt like the performance overall, so how did I try to "downplay" anything?
So because I enjoyed watching the ballerinas perform more than I enjoyed watching Kanye perform I'm hatin? Where is the hate in that?

The only thing 'special' or 'epic' or 'great' about his performance was having the ballerinas there.
Otherwise it was the same thing as any other Kanye, or any other rappers performance for that matter.
