Does the heel of the 14 not bother anybody?
I never liked 14s in the high because that back ankle collar digs into the upper part of my Achilles.
It's to each their own with ankle shape. Having relatively skinnier ankles, I don't have problems wearing the 14, but I can see how it can press into some people's Achillies. The collar finishes high, in a way that's not particularly proper.

There's a certain aspects to the shoe that feels like it limits the degrees of natural flex. It's not just the rigidity but how it's implemented. The medial side is just a higher straight cut intended to interface with the ankle and somewhat support it during lateral cuts. For some people it ends up just being an rigid encumbrance of sorts.


2018's were my first time I could have this pair, and one of my favorite AJ's in general. Wore it very sparingly as a result. Granted income and everything was different. It's gonna be hard seeing the new release on shelves for the day and trying (trying) to leave it be.
