Might be alone in this, but I like em way more with the ridges. Didn't have the OGs but did have the 2006 retroes, and I loved them. Hoping for a discount...

Have had every iteration of the shoe and will 100% die on this hill. Ribs >. Top 5 Jordan all time and soty for me regardless though.

Facts. It just adds something to the shoe. A lil bland w/out it but still dope nonetheless

I just feel like the lack of ribs on these makes them a bit more formal looking. It works.

I prefer ribless myself. Cleaner look, though it’s not a huge deal. The 14 is a great looking shoe regardless. The sleekest in the original lineup imo.

I haven’t owned a pair of Black Toes since the OG so I’m looking forward to having my pair in hand.

Definitely better in og form without ribs, although ribs actually don't look bad on this c/w. Speaking of OGs, are the "teeth" pearl like they posed to be or they white again?

I had those too and I loved them... definitely underrated

Yeah, I loved my 2006 pair which I still have in pretty good freaking shape. I don’t think they’re really wearable anymore, but I only wore them probably 20 times. I appreciate it without the ribs because that’s the way the OG was. But I absolutely agree that objectively the ribs kind of make them a more interesting design. If this retro had the ribs I would not have complained one bit.

I had the Ogs, and the 05-06 pair that dropped. I lost the 06 pair in 06 only after a few wears and didn't cop the last couple versions cause they looked off to me but I definitely would like a pair now..

There's a pic somewhere of the Indiglo 14s with Tinker that had ribs on it - if I recall correctly the article or caption (it mighta been on IG) said MJ preferred the ribs on all pairs. Obviously the Indiglo didn't make it to production like that

Almost ordered a second pair from Sheikh using the 15% off and I woulda returned my original pair, but sz 10 sold out before I processed the order. I emailed them saying I'd applied the code at checkout but it didn't apply during processing - let's see if they credit me my $30+

Update: Sheikh CS told me to pound sand. They added the "Product is excluded..." disclaimer at some point and are using that against me even though I provided a screenshot of the code working at 11am Saturday. Congrats to those who scored that disco.

Yeah, we’ve discussed this before. I’ve always found it interesting going back to when that DVD came out. MJ telling them specifically to put the ribbing on the Indiglos, but it never happened. The black toes and the Indiglos are my favorite colorways of this model and I think the Indiglos with the ribbing would be sick. Maybe we’ll get that if and when they bring that colorway back. I will not complain one bit if it happens.
