Wonder if they still droppin the white pair with gold leather...maybe more info at dino show....still undecided bout those....
same here man. these don't excite me at all cause I know they will look just as cheap as the Georgetown lows. easy passXIs with bad quality and shape are just horrible and i dont expect any different for these, i think im getting so close to being done with shoes. sad days for me
Still have an '01 pair fresh, but the soles are yellow. I'm in...
Lol. This was the only XI I owned from the initial retro run. The patent leather on the original retro was the best that I ever had on ANY sneaker. I wore these into ground and that patent loss it's gloss before it started to seriously crease (you guys should know it takes a long time for that to happen unless you're throwing your kicks in the washing machine)
But why get these unless you're thirsty? If you've been paying attention to the last 7 years of holiday releases you can see a patern: Started off with classic og and retro+ colorways. Used all those up until they only had 1 left (Columbia) so they threw out new lackluster colorways to stretch out the stint between recycling the release of classic colorways. Now we've just about come full circle (prepare to see concords back again). But this time around they'll use a few "new" colorways to feel in the gaps. And a midtop version of this shoe will be one of those. Somewhere along the line we'll see a midtop with faux snake's skin, and an all red XI (The thirst is too high for those. JB will capitalize on it eventually).
How do I know? I know because there's nothing else they can do with the model that's going to look decent. Imagine a kid this Christmas trying to explain to his parents that the "72-10" and Space Jam are not the same shoe, and they're reasoning behind why two shoes so similar should be bought back to back.
I will admit, there are a few nice colorways of the XI that could be released but will never see the light of day. Nike seems to have a problem with shoes that can be easily customized into classic colorways. Every wonder why you never seen a version of the "banned" 1s with white blocking????
Apologies for the long post.
Abridged version: Why buy these when you know they'll be midtop version released before you've worn these twice?
Best XI Lows IMO. These need to be a mid sometime in the future. I'm definitely excited about this news.
