Peoples arguments aren't even about "secret drops". It's more so your argument that Nike as a collective brand which sells more than any other brand.. Would change their holiday releases based off of 1 Adidas Release (Yeezys specifically). If anything Nike would probably be more concerned with Star Wars releasing than 750 boosts
Speculation on my part. But Adidas is chasing Nike and trying to have the Yeezy on the same level as the retro Jordan's. Forget total sales, think about Adidas building this brand. They have zero to lose in going up against Nike's halo product line for the past 20-30 years. Nike switching the dates is in response to Adidas, but also to through a wildcard in their releases since 5 haven't been hyped, with most still available for purchase weeks after they released.
I'm curious how this all plays out, I think Nike manages this release to 'sell out', and try's or does reset the hype.
