Hopefully this is true. These are a top 10 shoe for me and the 2 retros they’ve done so far have been lacking.

The height/shape and especially the 45. 10s should be clean and minimalist and the PE number just ruins it for me.
Not to mention MJ himself didn’t even wear a PE version in the double nickel game.

That release is one my favorite pairs they came out with. The shape and height look pretty good to me. The 45 dislike is fair depending on preference of course. It should have never been named the Double Nickle at all. Especially due to your point about him never wearing them in that actual game.

Yea I definitely don’t consider it a terrible release overall. Just felt like the height was a bit too low and the leather had a plasticy look and feel. This is mostly in retrospect. For the time it was a solid pair compared to most of what they were pumping out.
The Seattle pair from a few years ago was way better imo. Very close to OG. A Chicago version with that shape and materials is what I’m hoping for.
