It appears the Jordan Trunner is returning.

I recall these training shoes were out somewhere around the late '90s or early 2000s.

I believe there was safety recall on the original versions because the metal tab on the back could be swallowed by children if removed or detached from the shoe.

The recall was due the metal cutting the wearer's leg right at the achilles.

There was also a similar Nike trainer which had to be recalled for the same issue at the time.

Way ahead of the times, could see these being a hit if the cws are nice and they market them well

Thanks for the clarification and correction about that. At least I recall it had something to do with the metal being a safety issue.

These retro colors are outlet fodder; PLM should be fired.

The OG black/red/white were hugely popular. The metal heel counter was adjustable for a custom fit but, as stated, could possibly pierce the plastic encasing and led to the recall. I feel like it was 2000 or 2001 that they originally released.

I'm old enough to remember the OGs well. It was a popular team Jordan model for sure.

I still have a few of my OG pairs (Black/Red, Obsidian/Columbia and Black/Yellow which I believe was a NikeTown exclusive colorway), all with the metal strip on the heel.

It's funny, I remember stories being told about inmates wearing/smuggling these into jail to use the metal strips as shanks. Who knows if it's true, but it's a rumor that was flying around in those days.
