Jordan Tatum 1

"First thing you will notice is the big void space at the lateral side, showing the free standing zoom air bag under the metatarsals. At the bottom you have additional midsole cutouts showing the inner structure and the zoom unit, plus the upper is detached from the midsole under the plantar arc...weird, isn't it?

To achieve that, Jordan Brand designers have created a large 3D TPU chassis which supports both sides of the shoe, extends from mid-foot to the toe, also acting as a suspension frame, where zoom unit is the spring element. Around the chassis you have the EVA midsole which also presents a very complex shape, with wide cutouts, raised sidewalls at both sides and at the heel, and no material under the ball of the feet, where you just find the gigantic zoom air bags. The midsole also seems to act as an outsole in the midfoot/heel portions (similar to UA Flow tech), since the traction pattern at the heel looks kinda blurry and the junction lines at sides seems more due to a double injection process, rather than a glued bond between different materials.
Only outsole rubber portions seems to be the those placed at forefoot.

The upper looks quite traditional, it just seems strobel board has been kinda flipped up on both sides at midfoot to contain the foot where the midsole coverage is not present; just wondering if it also has a little structural effect, especially at medial side, under the plantar arc, where the footbed is detached from the midsole."

this is from "@growingsoles" tech breakdown on IG. (has previously been posted, but good reference)

I agree- sometimes the jumpman branding is larger than what was on AJs. His initials or even an emblem (aj2k9) would have been a nicer touch.

Funny finding the negative twitter commentary on these. That place really is a big old pile of negative trash talk, it’s crazy. All the usual suspects w the “Omg what was he thinking saying that wasn’t his shoe” and such lol. And like this

I believe the remedial idiot who typed this post was trying to say better to start the sentence.
