Jordan Retro 13 "He Got Game" August 4th 2018 *UPDATED*

b the only thing weak around here is yo girls knees when i sing some luther to her

FUN FACT: Luther’s middle name is Ronzoni, like the pasta.
  • When Vandross was born, the doctor asked his mother what the child`s first and middle names were. She had already picked Luther for a first name but hadn`t thought of a middle name; there happened to be a box of Ronzoni spaghetti on the table next to her bed, so she told the doctor that his middle name was Ronzoni, and that is the name on his birth certificate.

I'm an idiot, had my size in cart and was about to checkout with all my info filled. Then realized I why not get some Airline points with my purchase , so I backed out of everything and went through DSG via airline shopping portal site instead, by that time my size was sold out lol. smh.....can't beat $20 off free shipping and returns. oh well...lesson learned.

Copped another....returning both SNKRS pairs.....why the hell not.

I return a lot to snkrs and I heard that eventually they block you from returning. Is this true? Also, I never get early reservations. Maybe it's because I return to them so much. Anyone ever been blocked from returning?

no size 9 so have to pass on dicks... by the way check your email for nike tracking...when i check my nike account it still doesnt say shipped but i got a tracking email from ups... nike shipped these on saturday i should get them tomorrow

Not sure. I've returned a lot of **** just from ordering to make my account look good. Did more orders help...seemed so and then not really. I get reservations with returns on my account but as often as most....not a lot.

They can't block you from returning...why? We live in the era where we cant even try on or see certain kicks in person so how can they block you knowing we are all ( in most cases) tapping away to hurry up an purchase without a full review of shoe. Don't worry return them ****s and get that 20 off and free ship. Nike has no loyalty system and until they do....this is how it will go down on my end.

not sure if true but every shoe from this lineup was returned to nike and still got randomly selected for the offwhite 1

Basically there is a disclaimer that they monitor how many times people return and exchange items. Its not that they block you; but more so that they are looking for people who abuse returns etc. I have not heard of anyone actually being blocked though.

That disclaimer means nothing and will get eaten alive.

Shoes need to be viewed and tried on in person...that alone kills any BS excuse they would "try" to give me about any consequences involving returns. They better start a loyalty program or this will happen in situations like this (He Got Games).

I thought all the tales of people being banned from returns weren't for new shoes but rather the people who buy shoes, wear them, beat them, and consistently return them claiming the shoes are defective and wanting a voucher. Don't think I've ever heard of someone being banned for sending back unworn shoes they ordered and returned.

Damn straight, man. It's childish, especially considering I'm 41 now, but I don't care. It just adds something, especially certain models. This black toe 13 is absolutely sick. I've been trying to figure out since Saturday when I bought mine what on Earth I was smoking back in college when the OGs dropped. I clearly remember holding them in a store at the mall and passing on them. I know part of it was I wasn't made of money and $150 was a lot, but I had bought the 11s and 12s on release day the previous two years. I guess I just didn't think these were all that cool back then. I must've been out of my mind, this shoe has just vaulted into my top three or four Jordans of all time along with the 3s, 4s and 11s. And since I know we're never getting a good retro of the 3, it puts these in the real-life top 3 for me now. I put them on again as soon as I got home from work tonight LOL. I just want to wear these all the time right now. These might be the ultimate example of '90s Jordan design---they just LOOK like Jordans, if that even makes any sense

I don't know what it is, but for me, there's just SOMETHING about white and black Js.

I have a similar experience with these. I'm 40 yrs old. I passed on these when they first came out too. I totally remember exactly why I did. I remember thinking that Jordans were starting to look silly. I was a huge fan of 3 through 8. I felt like 9 and later started getting weak back then. I thought these looked a lot like the back of a old school couch. Over the years they grew on me and became a classic. They've been on my essential Jordans list for a long time.

Yeah this may be more fitting...although I have never did that (wore shoes and then return). So no comment from my end. lol

i think this is it. a few years ago i read about somebody who shared that they got declined a voucher because nike said too many people from that same address did it too many times. keyword is voucher. as in wear the kicks, beat em, then try to return em.

for straight unworn DS returns for refunds, i think yall straight. they cant possibly block u from returning and cite the reason as you returning too many online orders. maybe they have a case for in-store purchases. cause in-store u usually have every opportunity to try on and inspect the kicks before you cop. impossible to do online.

Ha yup, I think that must be what I thought as well. Funny enough, when I brought these home on Saturday, my girlfriend kept telling me they look like the leather headboard on my bed. My attempts to explain the panther whisker influence fell on deaf ears, she keeps calling them my couch shoes (like you said) or my headboard shoes  But she did admit "they aren't as bad as I thought from looking at pictures."

I've noted before that I thought the 11s in particular, and the 12s--and I must've felt the same about these back then--were just over the top to me at the time. But the evolution (or maybe it should be "de-evolution") of fashion and sneaker design over the 20 or so ensuing years now makes these Jordan models seem subdued, classy and timeless to me. You never would've caught me rocking concords casually back then, I felt like a damn fool wearing patent leather sneakers. Now I wear them and other 11s around with shorts all the time and I think I look cool LOL.
