It's too hot in NC so i'm wearing shorts 24/7 and imo these don't look too well with shorts.

1's with tapered jeans or tapered cargos > shorts by a long shot. So i'll stick to runners for now

but like I said i'll be pulling these out when it gets cool enough to

amen, my boy kept his DMP XIs and VIs DS for the longest time and then i said what if u die today and u never wore your favorite shoes, seems pretty stupid to me especially when they are leather and rubber which are 2 products that are so easy to clean

same here. i personally dont wear 1s or most retros for the most part when its hot out because the shoes have zero ventilation. i prefer trainers for the summer

You know retros arent really meant to be worn for serious athletics. They were signature bball shoes when released but that was then you know. I dont think any up till maybe the xi is worth balling in today. Thry really dont ventilate lol but not like it really matters.

i dont know about you but my own comfort comes first. especially when it comes to what i pay for to go on my feet. if you like slipping and sliding inside your retros all summer all the power to you bro.

That's why I said "imo" they look better to me with tapered jeans but of course you guys are going to say you wear em with shorts or they look good. i'm picking flyknit racers over these anyday with shorts and it'll never change.

i think the point is that the tech in these shoes are old and outdated. theyre not made with the same craftmanship and materials as they were back in the day when they were considered at the best you could get.

Nope. The calendar is deep and not sure when it would get slipped in....in a couple of days you'll have 1.5s, then the first of 3 'rare air' colorways, August may bring a CHI re-release, September 2nd colorways of 1.5s, October UNC, November a mystery retro 1 (possibly a shadow redux).

Yes hoping (after paying resell for the SBBs I would like to get a 2nd pair of CHIs at retail)...but the realist in me is doubtful. I think 2 things: Nike's been breaking off some of the NDC stock to third-party retailers so there's nada left and well NDC/SNKRS ain't nowhere ready for a retro 1s drop.

Yep, after all the extra pairs of bordeauxs other retailers had this weekend its clear nike doesn't have a secret stash of cancelled release pairs anywhere.
