So JB actually did make adjustments to these? I'm glad to hear that the Black/Reds are gonna be different, in a good way.

The midsole and bigger swoosh is definitely welcomed, but we gotta see if other pairs differ from Welty's pair concerning the ankle.

I bet most pairs will look better than what was posted a page or so ago. We gotta remember leaked pics like these too...

Unless JB actually went and updated the high '85 model with this release, I'd expect retail pairs to look like these in terms of cut and shape. We'll see though.

(My pair is a size 13 so keep that in mind)

Just like how they say every OG 12 rerelease since the '22 playoffs will be the closest to their '97 counterpart. Forgive me for not having faith but it is Jordan Brand we're talking about. However, I'm always happy when my negative skepticism goes unrewarded. I'm glad the high '85s are actually seeing some noticeable improvements.

I never read anything about it being closer to the OG, just that the 85 mold was undergoing changes going into 2025. And from what we’ve seen there is definitely some changes. Probably not for the better although the toebox on Welty’s pair does look great
