Jordan Retro 1 '85 Black/Red Feb 14th 2025

I would rather have this shape than those 2025 Breds.

I always wondered if that the curve on the middle of the midsole on the 85's make the sneaker feel different underfoot?
The 85 is slightly more narrow than the OG high but not because of the curved midsole. For example the Reimagined Royals have a curved midsole and aren’t any more narrow than a regular OG high

So in laymen’s terms, they still feel
Like you’re walking on the pavement?
Not quite as bad. My metallic red highs feel a bit better imo than the standard high OGs.

The 85s do have a different insole than the OGs. It is polyurethane but not as firm/bouncy as what is used in air ships.

those insoles in the air ships are so good
I use them in my other shoes and it takes the comfort to another level

Thanks for the input.

That’s going to be the deal breaker on next years release. I sold my Chicago L&F’s simply because of that issue. Honestly, o don’t see how people can walk in the OG hi’s on a daily bases. From what I remember, AF1’s feel much better than Jordan 1’s as far as underfoot comfort. I have t had any AF1’s since 2002.

I usually change the insoles of my 1's
doesn't make them super comfortable but def better than the stock insole

Wow i didnt even know the reimagined Royals had that. I'll have to check that out on my pair.

I would say the 85s feels like you are walking on a pavement then the OG highs, ive been wearing my og highs to death and my feet never felt hurt, for the 85s i bearly wear them because my feet hurts.

Well those 85 Highs I think were the first to release in that variation, the black/red 1 2025's are supposed to be more comfortable, hopefully thats true.

Worst 85 in terms of comfort is the Georgetown. Leather on those is worse than the NGs. At least the NGs have some give to them.

Overall I think the 85s are comfortable and the most recent Metallics are a huge improvement despite having a relatively small PU insole

For $250, the least JB could do is protro these with some zoom air/zoom x. Would be worth the $250 price point and be way more comfortable
