I’m guessing these are popular in the hood where cheaper team Js are frequently worn.

A lot of people just want to wear “Jordans” and don’t care if they are a numbered retro as they view all Jumpman-branded shoes as “Jordans.” They’ll simply buy the cheapest JB shoes they like in these cases.
