Jordan Brand will be remastering (building better quality shoes) starting in 2015

This type of topic has come up too often.  There'd be no difference as its been already.  Too many decades ago for it to even matter.  Would an exact replica of the OGs shape/material/etc. etc. matter that much?  From Nike's stand point, as you've said would not matter.  They will still sell out.

My issue is about how everyone buys Jordans and that it provides no incentive for JB to get it right!  Can't blame people, but it is what it is.

It would matter to a lot of people that spend their hard earned money. I know some couldn't care less about it, but if you don't mind bastardized retros then I guess things really won't matter or change...

OG this and OG that! If they give use OG quality and OG shape then the real problem will be exposed. The fact that only probably 25% of people actually know the difference and care. The rest just enjoy the hype and the frenzy behind release day is their drug.

I just look at shoes like the CONCORD low as an example. How can you complain about a first model shoe. How can you be upset about a shoe that we were never suppose to have. Most of these cats on here are really going to be crying and acting fool when they really get those OG model Jordans. Them tanks are not going to look good with skinny jeans.

I'm from the OG era and the truth is I like some of the changes to the shoes. Also i am smart enough to know that if you make 300-500k of any one product, week in and week out, your production quality is going to be iffy 30-40 percent of the time.

And the fact that most of the flaws people mention require a magnifying glass, is sad in its own right. But more importantly it signifies that you are getting a hanmade,man-made product. Honestly I open my box try them on, check the sizing and put them back in the box, until I decide to wear them. That's it!

If you remember the "XX8 Days of Flight" campaign NIKE hit us with a while back, you might recall this XVI.
A lot of chatter about it dropping in 2015, minus the patent tongue. And save yourself, don't call it the "ALTITUDE" XVI :|

Agree with almost everything you said.  The flaws need to be limited and managed through stricter QC.  Take a company like Apple, aside from an unforeseen defect, they would never put out a product will defects.  Nike should do the same and keep their manufacturers in check

12's were an exception to this rule. 2003 were superior to OG.
Superior in comfort for sure in my experience, but I only had one OG and one 03 that I kept. My OG Taxi's outlasted my 03 Nubucks. I didn't keep my Flints long enough to see how they would last (regret that) but the comfort was absurd...

i have rose coloured glasses for 03's because since then the retro 12 seems to have suddenly become almost a full size bigger.

ugh

re-master, i don't buy any of it. just like i don't touch jordan retros at all any more.

Those who suggest that the retro of the XII is superior in comfort may be correct, however, the original XII was the shoe that you could rely upon in regard to durability, and was worth every penny of the 160 that it originally retailed. That was my fave hoops shoe, and was one of the first that I bought multiple pairs to stash away, in order to continue to play in for years to come. I did just that, and man, the retro paled in comparison. The Zoom Air was mushy, and the paint job chipped, and the glue used allowed the sole to separate if worn for too long. It is a shame what Nike did to that shoe, a danged shame. They did the same thing with the BB4, taking the Monkey Paw out, and recently with Zoom Flight 96, by only putting zoom in the heel.

12's weren't $160

They were where I bought them. 149.99 which came out to about 156 after taxes. I round off to a buck sixty.

The OG 12s from 1997 could not have been 150 or 160. You must be talking about a retro. Retro 12s even the 2003 are far inferior than the incredibally durable 97 originals

^^ that pic brings back memories, I had the OG 12s and the zoom air flight mid in the original colour. I was really pissed off when I wore thru the sole of the flights in only a few games of bball. Iirc I probably used them on outdoor courts but the outsold was only a few mm thick or should I say thin.

Oh yeah your right, what was I thinking it's not going to be a 4. I was just dreaming again, ive been up since 230 am local time. Was hot af last night and I think I was too excited for the seahawks vs packers this morning. Thank God seattle won!
