We all have our views on reselling.... the good, the bad, the ugly. For the past 4 months Jordan Brand possibly could be heavily testing a marketing strategy right under our noses... directed soley at resellers...which is not old at all.....re-releases (not restocks as they want to refer to them as). If you haven't been keeping track since Sept. with the re-release of the entire Kilroy pack on DEC. 26th we will have a total of 7 Jordan's that have been re-released (5 were considered limited releases) not including the earlier ones from this year (charcoal 7's re-released in sept.) (military 4's and fire red 4's as well referred to as restocks)..
This is good news to most ..
Are the upcoming "limited releases" really going to be GR's with split the quantities for a second release... first building the hype...second dropping a "limited quantity" next letting resellers buy up inventory and flood the resell market... then release again, bringing buyers back and eventually slowing the resell market?
Notice when a shoe is re-released the demand for it the second time goes down significantly unless of course if were a hot shoe or the xi's series but demand would still go down as most people who want a pair find a way to get a pair.
What's your thoughts...again this is only an observation and speculation but could very well be a new way to capitalize on the reseller market.... If so this will make resellers think twice about trying to stock up on any release if the fear of another re-release could be lurking a month or a few months later... and also keep buyers from succumbing to the 75-100+ mark-ups in hopes of getting the shoe they really want for retail.
