On a side note, can we please stop calling these the "IE"? As someone who had the og's that really bugs me. These were never called the XI IE, they were just the XI low.
This was explained pretty well in the post:

I'd rather them call them IE than some other corny name
Lil penny doing his thing to these right before game 1 of the 96 ecf

Repped! So true! I was in eighth grade. It's a blessing[emoji]128591[/emoji] to be from that era.Because I'm old:
Back in the day (when these first dropped,) where I grew up we called them the Playoffs Lows.
The dudes I messed around w/ called them the Ron Harpers (he wore them more than anyone that year in the Playoffs.)
This is truly the only XI Low I get down with; I adore this shoe (blk/red)
It bugs me more that people think IE is the official name for the shoe. It's not.
IE isn't the official name, but there was so much mystery surrounding the name that the "unofficial" name actually works better than whatever the official name is at this point.
Just like another poster said, calling these the XI low.....but then we have the actual patent XI low now that was non-existent in 96.
So "IE" works best to distinguish between the two albeit wrong.
What's even worse is that people are concerned about the "name" of a sneaker. It bugs me more that people think IE is the official name for the shoe. It's not.
What does the IE even stand for?
THE OG'S WERE SO DOPE.. THE 2003 VERSION WAS OKAY BUT THE OGS>>>
To each there own
One of if not thee ugliest Jordan every created. These have always been and always will be terrible.
