Was looking at photos of my '16 Black Toes and wished I still had them. I'm still kinda iffy on this release mainly because I wish we'd have just gotten them in an improved '85 High cut and shape. JB could have included the signature by neatly and brightly printing it on the translucent-ish tissue paper that the High '85s have been using instead of the collar of the shoe, so that it's the first thing you see when you open the box. Would have been cool imo. If these are easy I MIGHT try for a pair. I miss my Black Toes.

Lmao boxes. We talkin bout boxes?! That air Jordan instead of wings can kick rocks. It makes them look fake and the shape is not great either. Swoosh could have been reimagined too and maybe look OG? Nah they will buy them anyway -Nike.

Lol it is a pretty good troll job considering:
- 2016s had a white tongue, wings logo
- 2023 lows have the black tongue/wings branding correct, but it’s a low
- 2024 has a black tongue, no wings logo
We’re 1-2 iterations of them giving us the proper retro, and even that’s tricky given we have the Retro mold and ‘85 mold
Not to mention the BMPs in ‘07 did it right but those were mid-top. Then the 2013 they do it exactly the same as the ‘16 with a different mold.
If they go back to the black tongue on the ‘85 Retro mold ima give JB a standing ovation for the trolling

I got to say this from my perspective. This release will only happen once for obvious reasons. Its a retro of THE original prototype Air Jordan. They wont do these again. Its a 40th anny giving tribute to it. For 99 percent, the wings are better. But to me, these are it. Truly understand why they are disliked. As long as I get my sz 11, you can hate the hell out of them.
