Johnny Depp has reportedly splashed over $60,000 to buy 500 winter coats for the crew on the set of Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

The movie is currently filming in Buckinghamshire, where the weather is freezing.

A source tells Daily Express, "Johnny paid out of his own pocket for all 500 of us to have a nice warm waterproof. It's a great morale boost and another example of why his is one of the nicest people in Hollywood."
